ALL WALKERS WELCOME

We offer a sociable programme of walks and activities for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits.

For all the latest info find us on Facebook and Instagram.

Based in East Kilbride, the club was founded in 1969 and caters for people of all ages and abilities who enjoy hillwalking and mountaineering.

We run four weekly bus and carshare outings on a SUNDAY. Regular destinations include Glencoe, Arran, Cairngorms, Glen Nevis and the Lake District. Club members are always on hand with friendly advice on route choices. You are welcome to join a route appropriate for you - from a low level glen walk to an exhilarating climb to a mountain summit. We also arrange a 'club walk' each month - where an experienced club member will decide on a route and you are welcome to join them for the day.

Weekend meetings are also held at club huts, bunkhouses and hostels. Annual events can include a Christmas Social, Burns Supper and Hotel Weekend.

EKMC is affiliated to Mountaineering Scotland.
